Rob_Loken Posted April 3, 2009 Share Posted April 3, 2009 Hi there, I 'ave completed a combat squad of Ultramarines. I said I wouldn't do an army but having just got a new job it now looks like I might do. Any hoo these guys are a mixture of old marines ranging from old tactical marines to 3 marines from the AoBR paint set. You may notice on of them has red eyes, this is because I painted him last year just to test out the paint scheme. I didn't use a spray undercoat for him either so his texture is a little different. When I came back to doing these guys I decided I liked the green lenses. The sarg has chaos arms because I'd run out of loyalist CC arms (well, hundreds of BP arms but no chainsword arms). So I looked for the gauntlets with no arrows or daemonic looking skulls. The bases (the don't look it but they're grey) need a bit of a touch up but other than these guys are finito. This was also my first serious attempt at freehand, and while no where near the standard of some of the guys and gals on here, I'm fairly pleased with it. Cheers for looking.
