Maybe posting them will inspire me to actually finish a model. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/165054-crimson-fist-workbench/ Share on other sites
tortoise
well, they look good so far. Are you planning on keeping the shoulder trim and chest eagle on the sternguard in steel colours? i like the effect. magnetbox
Definitely. I like the muted effect it gives. Im not sure I want so much gold bling, especially with Pedro. magnetbox
Thanks for the kind words. As for what is next, Ive got some work to do still on the term and stern guard sergeants, and I got a base cote on the vet sergeant (fourth from left) in the first pic. I am little disappointed with the army painter's black primer. It went on way to glossy and thick (perhaps my own poor technique). It just seems to lack the "tooth" that gw's chaos black spray gives you. Anyone else have any experience with that product? geordie
Damn good painting skills you've got there. Why does the 3rd picture look like the coolest space marine thats ever lived? ^_^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/165054-crimson-fist-workbench/#findComment-1943087 Share on other sites
Grimfoe
I'm glad I saw these. I'm currently working on a Sternguard squad and Pedro for my son. I keep the chest eagle grey, because I also like the "muted effect." I think I'll borrow some of what you've done with your sterguard when I paint Pedro. The minis look great. Good luck with the rest. (as an aside, I picked up an old Cortez model for the sternguard sarge. Looks sweet, you may want to do the same.)
