The flesh tearer was varnished with purity seal. I normally use matt varnish from a pot as it doesn't leave any shine. The spray does however so I tend not to use it.

 

if you try dusting the model rather than a straight on spray it might help. tho the thickness of the coat you're going for would matter. nice daemon prince btw, but i definitely think the flesh tearer looks very very shiny.
