Do I have to use my CCW?

Recommended Posts

My captain wields a TH, and a combi-flamer;

The TH puts her at Initiative 1 in CCW.

Do I have to use it?

When attacking a bunch of softies, grots or GEQs say, can I say that for this round only the TH stays in its holster, so I get my Init of 5 as normal, and resolve my normal 3 attacks at normal strength, no bonuses?

Thanks in advance!

Yes JamesI is correct. It's a shame because as you say Commander Sasha it was useful to be able to turn off special cc weapons in some circumstances. For specific page refs it's 35, in the para immediately after the two bullet points.

"All engaged models will fight in this turn's Assault phase with their full number of attacks and use any special close combat attack they have."

and p42 [A normal and a special weapon] for your model:

"... All their attacks, including the bonus attack, benefit from the special weapon's bonus."

If he has another weapon however, one that strikes at initiative, he may use it instead, but may not get an attack bonus for an additional CCW.

Couldn't explain where you got that one from could you please ?

I think he means if you have another diffrent special CCW than you can choose which one to use.
