The Pandora Condemners

Recommended Posts

so, now that there's the CotI III and I've 3 months to finish, now I've got some incentive to actually work on these guys and get them painted, so first here's the color scheme I'm shooting for:

very inspired by the red corsairs, the actual colors will be darker

here's the tactical squad:

Love the pose of the plasma gun!

Im pretty sure you can find brazen brass still on the ebay or online shops!

yea tried ebay, but it just feels worng to pay more than 6 for a paint~the guys at my local GW said to just roll with 3:1 dwarf bronze(bonze?) and tin bits

haha, very cool plasma gunner. i made one myself, because like Brother Iencub said, no army should be without one.very cool looking mini's so far.

Im glad i still have 2 pots of brazen brass left. stupid of them to discontinue it. I was planning on doing my elites entirely with it. o wells.

so added more base colors to this guy~gallery_43795_3430_78139.jpg

if you can see it, his left eye (to us) is actually oversized~this is quite irritating, its bulbous, so i think i'll try to make it look like a scar at some point. also irritating: my Xacto blade snapped earlier today (excuse for mould lines) and my detail brush has lost its hairs~very irritating considering it was kolinsky. oh well my mission tomorrow will be to buy a new one

also forgot~this is my chapter symbol:

gallery_43795_3430_968.gif

it's called Aegishjalmur~an Icelandic magic sign that means protection and irresistibility in battle

The chapter badge might be a small problem, but it looks like a Chaos star..so maybe another Badge would be in place?

I'm aware of the similarites, it actually works into the fluff that my guys walk a very thin line between loyalist and turning renegade, and yes, i'll be doing em as decals, i asked for it on the 'ye olde decal project' thread

also~he's not part of CotI III but he's a pandora condemner so he'll be thrown on here. this is my head honcho:

and his back pack

gallery_43795_3430_28602.jpg

actually thinking of doing a new model that will be a count-as shrike

a question~do you see how the mechrite red has an almost grainy look to it? it's my very first experience with foundation paint, and i'm wondering if the foundations are naturally thicker, because i read a thread about the citadel spray gun and that it took foundations better because they are thinner~I dunno~i tried watering it down and that helped a bit

behold! the tact sargeant~finally got a detail brush~still have some work to do on this guy, but I'm very happy so far~this is almost the first mini I've painted sine my 13 or so year absence, and the first face I've done, what do you all think of it?

IMO, I don't think you should have the dead terminator on the dread's base. I feel it detracts from the dreadnought as the center of attention. Maybe go for a dead Chaos marine instead? Or you could give the impression of the dead terminator under some debris, with some of his body parts popping out from under.
