Custodian Athiair
i have a scout squad and a 10 man terminator squad i have yet to use this combination but i hope to soon anyway i was wondering if my scout squad was saying 3 floors up in a building and i wanted to teleport the Terminators outside the builing on the floor below. Would they be out of range of the teleport homer becuase a floor is said to be 3'' and ther for would be out of the 6'' range but lateral they would still be in the 6'' range which one to i measure thanks it's just so i get the most out of this evil combination thanks Athiair -_- Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/165441-teleport-homers/ Share on other sites
Oldenhaller
deep striking troops always arive on the ground floor thus if your scouts on the 3rd will be 9" away and thus it won't work i'm afraid Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/165441-teleport-homers/#findComment-1947042 Share on other sites
Frosty the Pyro
I am pretty sure the answer is "no it would be out of range" however this is easily something to ask you oponent about before hand, as I would probably let you do it. Mycroft Holmes
Also remember that those Deepstriking Terminators are going to have to take dangerous terrain tests to land in that cover. Something you really don't want to do as they get no saves against it. Custodian Athiair
oh i know about the dangerous terrain i was thinking like a city with buildings either side of a road with scouts on in the building and then the terminators arrive on the street that was what i was thinking so i guess this means my scouts will have to infiltrate on the bottem floor which means their placing is even harder (becuase when they were up on the higher floors no LOS could be drawn to them and you need that for Infiltrate) oh well thanks guys just to check i will talk to my Store Manager but he doesn't really like me (he laughs at me becuase i forget things) so he'll probably say what you said Athiair ;) ps. don't get me wrong it's not like he hates me Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/165441-teleport-homers/#findComment-1947302 Share on other sites
chaplain_quint
but, then what? your expensive termie squad out in the op within rapidfire range? in front of an army? even TH/SS are not going to make that many saves. and if one survives he will not be able to do much in CC on his own. Isiah
That's a tactical issue for elsewhere. The rule question has been answered. Cheers I Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/165441-teleport-homers/#findComment-1948320 Share on other sites
