A hundred! as in 100, that's a lot! how much did you spend? if i may be so bold to ask.

Probably close to $100. For the same amount of metal pads, it would have cost me $250.

Not that I haven't burned my fair share of $$ in this hobby, but I want to save where I can.

The Inquisitors commanding my Deathwatch are abit frugal. :)

Besides, I thought the metal pads would be more distinctive for vets & sgts; i.e., the script

on the pads representing battles won, commendations, etc. Plus, as I am using the C:SM rules,

and I cannot give special Deathwatch ammo/equip to basic troopers, the smoother Inquisitor

pads could represent the SM's when they are first inducted into the Deathwatch. Sure, they

have experience from their parent chapters, but the Inquisitors at Talasa Prime do have them

trained even more in special combat tactics.

@ Grendelwulf

Thanks but shouldnt you use those pads for the tac squad aswell?

They would look better?

Yes, yes, I know it would. I have 20 metal pads now. Maybe for my next Deathwatch battle company...when they upgrade the Deathwatch squad rules! Codex: Alienhunters? Codex: Deathwatch!!!

Update #3 (2nd for May)

How do these months go by so fast?

I am obviously a better procrastinator than I thought.

Added plastic Inquisitor/Deathwatch badges.

Added metal chapter specific badges.

A look at some examples of both.

I am planning on using the metal-Deathwatch bitz for sgts only (1 for each of the founding chapters)

I truly thought my models would all be ready for painting by June, so I am going to have to light a flamer, or melta-bomb, under me if I hope to be finished by July 5th...

UPDATE #4, June 14, 2009 (1st Update for June)

Another busy RL month...but, Imanaged to build a few more troops.

36 total with iconic badges for each chapter.

Backpacks and bolters will be added after painting, which (finally!) appears to be my next step.

Hmm, I am going to have to make a list for all of the badge colours I will need...

UPDATE #5, June 16, 2009 (2nd Update for June)

I have concentrated so much on my troops, I almost forgot their Commander...

3 guesses which 'chapter' he is from. Yes, the dual Deathwatch pads would be legitimate,

albeit they will be painted slightly different...

...I am buying paint this weekend!

legio B&C?

We have a winner!

Battle-Sister Mary Lucretia, please bring forgotten soul their prize...

"It's a brand new box of triple-blessed bolter shells..."

...also, thank you for playing, Iron Corsair, please don't forget your consolation prize...

"It's a whole set of new single-blessed bolter shells, without the box. Catch'em all if you can.."

Battle-Sister Mary Lucretia aims her bolter...

I thought it only fitting the Deathwatch be led by a B&C Commander.

His weapons gave it away, didn't they?

It's not a legal mix, but maybe I can count the special Dw bolter as a stormbolter...

Twin.44: Should I get some paint brushes with my paint order? :)
