Ion Raptor
After receiving a couple AoBR dreadnoughts I decided to make one of them into a Thousand Sons theme. Here's what I have so far. http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e108/IonRaptor/Warhammer/IMG_0876.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e108/IonRaptor/Warhammer/IMG_0875.jpg and here's some items that i still want to use http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e108/IonRaptor/Warhammer/IMG_0877.jpg and updated pictures already here's he banner that will go on top: http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e108/IonRaptor/Warhammer/IMG_0878.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e108/IonRaptor/Warhammer/IMG_0879.jpg And the Dreadnought itself: http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e108/IonRaptor/Warhammer/IMG_0880.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e108/IonRaptor/Warhammer/IMG_0881.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e108/IonRaptor/Warhammer/IMG_0882.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/165718-thousand-sons-dreadnought-conversion/ Share on other sites
Rune Priest
Fantastic. This dread has... flare. The only thing I'd suggest is moving the book on the rear of the banner to another location. It seems a bit clunky to me. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/165718-thousand-sons-dreadnought-conversion/#findComment-1950570 Share on other sites
Sons of Horus
nice, simple, too top-heavy even for a dread, overall very good  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/165718-thousand-sons-dreadnought-conversion/#findComment-1950749 Share on other sites
Drudge Dreadnought
That is really cool. The only thing that i think doesn't fit is the claw. I'd go for a single larger blade. Also drill the barrels on the multi melta. cathar the great
The claw would also be my only beef with it, the rest is really good and some great use of bits, especially the torso back as a front piece! Ion Raptor
Update on the Dreadnought: http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e108/IonRaptor/Warhammer/IMG_0883.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e108/IonRaptor/Warhammer/IMG_0884.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e108/IonRaptor/Warhammer/IMG_0885.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e108/IonRaptor/Warhammer/IMG_0886.jpg And here's the beginning on the painting process: http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e108/IonRaptor/Warhammer/IMG_0887.jpg Any suggestions for what to do with the CCW? what parts to use or in the best case how to modify the choppas to fit better Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/165718-thousand-sons-dreadnought-conversion/#findComment-1950883 Share on other sites
the akratic
if you shorten the individual blades on the DCCW, then flip em around, they'll look a lot like the sharp blades that loyalist FW dread have. Alternatively, it may be cool to have a single curved scimitar blade coming out the center. I've done similar with my Nurgle dread, but don't have any pics. I'll see if i can figure out how to post pics up here, if you dont see what i mean Otherwise that is one of the coolest, and most unique dreads I've seen! Awesome work man! blood_raven_240
;) That is - perhaps - the best Assault on Black Reach Dreadnought Conversion on the Bolter and Chainsword :) (It is an AoBR Model, right?) Can't wait to see it painted. Consider the Sarcophagus idea stolen. Space Marine Rhino Crew Techmarine Rear Torso and Chaos Space Marine Tank Crew Helmet, right? :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/165718-thousand-sons-dreadnought-conversion/#findComment-1951157 Share on other sites

Space Marine Rhino Crew Techmarine Rear Torso and Chaos Space Marine Tank Crew Helmet, right? ^_^ It should be the tank crew back torso. The helmet i used was the studded one from the normal Chaos Marine sprue, but i'm sure most any helmet will do. Just be ready to chop over 75% off ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/165718-thousand-sons-dreadnought-conversion/#findComment-1951344 Share on other sites
Tyrannicide
Awesome dreadnought, and its nice to see some Thousand Sons' loving around here. It should be interesting to see what it looks like when its done. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/165718-thousand-sons-dreadnought-conversion/#findComment-1951389 Share on other sites
Ferro
Sweet conversion of an AoBR dread. The only thing that bothered me (at all) are the large rivets on the top. Reminded me of legos. Sorry. But seriously excellent, superior work. Chaos Lord Shamrockius
Awesome. I found an old Imperial Dread in a box and i'm currently converting it to a Berzerker Dread but it looks a little under dressed. I think I'll be coming back here quite a bit for ideas on how to beef him up a little... Quality work.
