Jangalak Posted April 13, 2009 Share Posted April 13, 2009 I have been trying to work out how you can use the full transport capacity of the LR Crusader if you are only able to transport 1 squad and/or and independant character - can anyone help? I was wondering if it might be the Independent characters retinue e.g. honour guard/cmd squad? gainesdp Posted April 13, 2009 Share Posted April 13, 2009 Not completely familiar with Black Templar rules, but pretty sure they can end up with 16+ man squads with neophytes. For Codex Space Marine armies, the 16 man capacity is worthwhile if you remember Terminator Armor models count as two for transport capacity. Legatus Posted April 14, 2009 Share Posted April 14, 2009 Black Templars and Space Wolves can have certain squads that are bigger than 10 men. All other Chapters can use it mainly for bigger Terminator squads. Like 7 Assault Terminators plus attached IC, instead of just a 5 men minimum terminator squad. Untill the current Codex, regular Land Raiders could only transport 10 models, but now that their capacity has been upgraded to 12 you could attach ICs to squads as well, and don't need a Crusader for that. Also, isn't the SM tank commander an IC when out of his tank, so there is your sixth.
