5th Ed Broken Alliance Scenario

As usual I ended up going last in this scenario and my objective marker was in the corner literally. When ork boy deployed there was no way for me to deploy within 12" of my marker without being at least 24" from any of his forces. I was forced to keep my entire force in reserve ( except for the HQ I had to deploy with the other two HQ's within 6" of the center ) . Since I had only declared one unit in reserve prior to deployment should I have lost the others based on old rules-OR- is there a rule in regards to this stated specificaly in the rule book that I missed- OR - because this is one of the scenario games just roll for any issues like this.

Thanks...

where are the rules for "broken alliance?" That said you do not declare reserves prior to deployment. The rules for reserve in the BRB (pg 94) are anything "not deployed" are in reserve. AKA you do not have to declare whats going to be in reserve untill you finish deploying everything else. once deployment is finished you must then declear how everything is reserve is coming in (aka any attached units, whats in a transport, what is going to deapstrike, what is going to outflank, whats going to use some other special rule, etc)

So unless this "broken alliance" scenario has rules that contridict this you are fine.

The Broken Alliance scenario is on page 272 of the BRB. Nothing contradicts anything, so you simply keep your entire army in reserve, as Frosty pointed out. All's well.

And yes, run-on sentences get hard to read, like some of the readings I have for classes...

Congratulations to the first person to have their posts deleted and the topic they started shut down for deciding to reply in thread to a comment about them instead of following board rules and asking a moderator to look at it.

Congratulations. My heart beats with joy.
