ShinyRhino
i love how you have your bike on a knife blade  Is that from the cold steel series???? lol. The knife is actually just propping up the wine cork that the bike is pinned into. The knife itself? No clue what brand or anything it is. I actually found it when I was in the Marines. I was on an LRP in Bridgeport, CA. I stopped for a partol halt, knelt down, and there it was. Free knife! ShinyRhino
One bike complete! Two more to go. The sergeant with old-school poweraxe is up next, but I was waiting for his primer to dry, so didn't get a pic... http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z43/goalie20/Warhammer%2040K/CoI3/bike2front.jpg http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z43/goalie20/Warhammer%2040K/CoI3/bike2left.jpg http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z43/goalie20/Warhammer%2040K/CoI3/bike2right.jpg I went back immediately after these shots and retouched the black of the base to cover the drybrush oopsies. If you look closely at the rear areas of the bike, you can see some of the Pinesol scarring I uncovered when removing old paint. ShinyRhino
Biker sergeant complete! I've already started on the final biker, and partially primed the Whirlwind turret. No pics of those, as black primer makes for a pretty boring pic... http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z43/goalie20/Warhammer%2040K/CoI3/biksarge1.jpg http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z43/goalie20/Warhammer%2040K/CoI3/bikesarge3.jpg http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z43/goalie20/Warhammer%2040K/CoI3/bikesarge2.jpg He was poorly assembled when I got him, and I wasn't able to do much with the gaps. But he's good enough for the table, and that's what counts for me right now. Drawing one model closer to a fully-painted force on the table is a great feeling. ShinyRhino
VOW COMPLETE! My last biker (meltagunner!). http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z43/goalie20/Warhammer%2040K/CoI3/bike4front.jpg http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z43/goalie20/Warhammer%2040K/CoI3/bike4rear.jpg And my Whirlwind turret. To be honest, I'm not very proud of the text on the top. It reads "In Nomine Imperator Sanctis"...which means "In the Name of the Holy Emperor". I got it off a chainsword on the front of the 3rd Edition Marine Codex. Problem is, my freehand was sloppy. Very sloppy. I think I'll paint over it, and maybe look for a DIY decal or something to replace it. http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z43/goalie20/Warhammer%2040K/CoI3/wwturretfront.jpg http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z43/goalie20/Warhammer%2040K/CoI3/wwturrettop.jpg And now that my vow is done...I need to get cracking on assembling the rest of the stuff I need for 'Ard Boyz next weekend.
