so i don't regularly get tank shocked and when i do its normally from within 12" but were it not to be and i made a DoG attack with a meltagun would i get 2d6 penetration? Simple question but i find no answers? i presume that as you hit automatically and you can make CC attacks the attack occurs as it hits your squad.

DoG is made when the tank hits the enemy unit, so of course you are within 12", and hence get the 2D6 of the Melta rule (unless something else negates it, like the Necron living metal rule). I'd give you a page reference in the rulebook, but I don't have it with me.

Hope it helps

thanks, thinking about it i was probably being silly, but of course some people measure>declare tank shock without actually moving so that all moving is done in one go :P which is where the confusion is.

Aahahahaa! I'd never thought of a monolith tank shocking, but it can!

Maligoare's answer is indeed the correct one.
