Sisters are doing it for themselves !

OK, here we go

Using images like these and 'Collected Visions' as reference:

I am making a small force, using the Sisters of Battle Codex (Witch Hunters). My pledge was 2 10 'man' squads and A character figure.

First squad is nearing the painting stage:

Basic Recipe:

Dark Elf Corsair Boots

Dark Eldar Legs

Dark Eldar female torso

Dark Eldar arms

Marine Bolters

Dark Eldar jet bike rider heads

Imperial Eagles (Terminators ?)

Various 'Furry' cloaks - High Elf, Middenheim etc

Thanks for looking

My only gripe is the heads, everything else looks great. I understand WHY you used that specific head but to me it just makes them look like dark eldar, otherwise these would be fantastic conversions. Mabey you could try throw in some half masks like the ones in the artwork, or green stuff some original sisters masks in there. Otherwise fantastic, and I actualy prefer these to those ancient and ugly sisters models.
I agree with Jester Prince. The heads look too dark eldar. That said, I don't know what you could use instead. Games Workshop is lacking in plastic, female heads! The thing that draws my attention, oddly, is the bolters. They look the right scale in thier hands. Bolters are supposed to be massive for a human, and these capture that idea brilliantly.

ah, your doing a sisters of silence detachment. right on. i dont think i've seen anyone else make one of those before.

myself, im horrible at GS, it always messes up on me. but if you have rotor drill, you could use that instead to smooth up the tips on your shoulder pads to match the reference pics you chose. especially how it has them just end suddenly instead of stretching out like the DE ones do. and if you have some plasticard, you could make the layered effect in the 2nd pic by putting little strips over topof the pads to make a second layer, and rotor them to be as smooth as the original pads.

that might be something neat to try for the pads, if your not at your painting stage yet. ;)
