Chaos Lord Shamrockius
Wow, I like it. Nice use of some odd parts I can pick out from other vehicles. Keep us informed as it gets some colour... Hal
The only thing I would say is the area around the head looks too bare. You could add a halo or some armour to make it appear like the head is in a recess rather than stuck to a flat surface. Better yet, add a hood to go with the cloak on the body. Apart from that it looks excellent, nice use of bits. Looks forward to seeing it painted. Sandolphon
The robes and wings make it look more DA than GK to me... and he seems to be staring at some birds or maybe a low flying plane. Just my thoughts. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/166466-aobr-dread-conversion-for-coi/#findComment-1960867 Share on other sites
cathar the great
I like your idea, I had a similar one some time ago, but I used a Terminator torso for the front plate, which looks more like the Forgeworld MkIV and doesn't leave the top of the plate so empty. Also, I don't think the robed torso really works, it looks a bit odd, what look were you going for with it? Wraithwing
This is a cracking idea, and I like what you've done so far. My only issue with it however, is that the head on the sarcophogus (sp?) seems to be looking up into the sky. Obviously, the sloped front to the Dread makes this effect, but I wonder if there was any way to shave the front flat, so the head and torso faces forward? Other than that minor gripe, it looks really good! DaPheel
It's looking good so far - as for ideas, have you considered a little metal arch over the head to frame it? Plus if it's grey knights the more shiny pretentious bits, the better. insomniacpyro
"I had a spare BR Dreadnaught.." That phrase alone makes me envy you. You could try a smoke stack conversion and make them taller- seems to be one of the pings in the AoBR Dread's armor. Switching up the weapons would be a nice change too, unless you need that combo for your army. Other than that you got the front decked out pretty well. I can wait to see it painted! :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/166466-aobr-dread-conversion-for-coi/#findComment-1966903 Share on other sites
