Yes and Yes...

If they fail the morale check they fall back, the difference being if they beaten in CC, fall back and are caught they are not destroyed.

Also if more than 6" from an enemy they automatically regroup even if below 25% IIRC...

Im sure someone will go into further detail, i dont have the rulebook on me at the moment.

And my answer would be no and no... :(

All currently available loyal Space Marines have ATSKNF, but Chaos Space Marines do not, and never had. Also, the Cursed Founding Chapters that once were available in WD and Chapter Approved, while being still loyal, did not have ATSKN, IIRC.

Going below 50% strength at any time does not trigger a morale check. Losing 25% or more of the current strength in one phase (unless the unit is engaged in HtH) triggers a morale test. If a unit that started with 10 models now has 5 left, and loses an additional model, that unit would now be below 50% starting strength, but only lost 20% of it's current strength, so no test would be taken.

Being below 50% starting strength means that a unit can not rally anymore, but Space Marines are allowed to do so thanks to ATSKNF.

I missed that "if they are beaten in an assault" in the OP, and I assume he did mean losing 25%, and not 50%. So technically, that means the answer is "yes" to the second question, though that has nothing to do with all marines having ATSKNF, as kinda was the prerequisite to the second question.

Comprehensive answers would be: Generally all loyal Space Marines have ATSKNF, while traitor Marines usually do not have it, but there may be some exceptions. ATSKNF has a few nice effects, but Space Marines still take Morale tests like any other unit. ATSKNF takes effect if such a test is failed.
