traxter
so if a sentinel outflanks to my thunderfire cannons location and puts a heavy flamer down on it hitting the gunner and the cannon does he roll 2 hits to see what they hit or is it one artillery unit meaning a flame template will always only score 1 hit? isn't a thunderfire and gunner listed as 1 model in an army list? Frosty the Pyro
From my understanding it is two hits. Artillery is made of the crew models and the gun models, so they are two seperate models. The hits on a unit is determined by how many models are under the flame template. Isiah
Thunderfire and techie are considered an Artillery unit. In normal shooting you roll a dice to see who gets hit (crew or gun) [p55 BRB]. But with a template covering either one or the other you'd still need to see who was hit because flamer casualties can be taken from any part of the target unit [p29 BRB] so theoretically either one could be hit no matter who was actually covered by the template. Is that right? As frosty says if both are under the template then it's two hits.
