Recommended Posts

Well i've finally gotten around to posting up some images of my templars, so to start you guys off... something to salivate over my glorious HQ's. just as an FYI these were painted by my friend who used to do them professionally and did these for my birthday when i first started my templars, my FIRST 40k army, nearly 4 years ago

wow 208 views and no comments? nobody likes them enough to comment? i'll have to tell my friend haha

well here is the next few pieces of my army coming together the first 3 of 4 squads:

[WARNING] these models are from when i first started painting, they have: no shading, little detail, & bad paint jobs. some are more recent than others (its blatantly obvious which ones as they have a LOT more detail) but I'm putting them up here just so i have a series of posts to showcase my entire army in. [/WARNING]

onto the squads

TROOPS:

4th Squad, Omega Squadron

still to come...

1st Drop Squad, Delta Squadron (still a WIP)

i have no intention of ever redoing these men as i want them to be exactly as then were when finished, to make a sort of time line of my painting skills

like use of old figure for marshal ^_^

nice to see someone using a blue highlighting technique over grey, makes it gives a different subtle perspective on the black.

you should repaint your older models now that you have been painting awhile and repost :) keep it comin (love the blood on chainswords btw)

on the chap and EC? i didn't do them but can guess its shadow grey, a very blue colored grey

the colored trims are just to differentiate squads, i like it but i know it doesn't go well with the Templar theme...

EDIT: more for your viewing pleasure:

ELITES:

Assault Terminator Sword Brethren, Von Gabriel's Claws

FAST ATTACK:

Assault Squad, Von Gabriel's Wings

Incase you missed it all my specialty squads are related to my marshal, i was actually planning to make a new marshal for my Templars too, a LC JP marshal (i personally like the idea of raining a termie squad, jump squad and LC jumping marshal down on my enemies)

dude,

i like it. but you need to work on highlighting. try doing some finer lines. btw like the blueish grey.

and lastly just a tip. after spray painting your models give them a wash of watered down chaos black. to get rid of the grey/ mat look on the models.

keep it up.

Do you not highlight your standard guys then. It may be the picture but they look very flat to me.

Anyway. The command is good. Like so many have said, I like the blue, but also how clean it is. Anyone who uses RT models is cool with me, I really like them.

Can't wait to see more.

no i don't highlight my normal guys, and after having posted i think i'm going to go back and repaint the older models, i figured that the foot sloggers i should be able to pump out but my HQ's are the centerpieces of my army, i never hope to make all my troops to that level of detail, as long as they are painted enough to keep my opponents from complaining i'm fine, but after these comments i'll probably make them all atleast in line with my new 4th sqauds level of detail
