Nurgle Terminators

Hi there from Germany,

it's been a while I posted some of my minis here at bolterandchainsword. I think it was because I was totally into orks.

But I always wanted to do some nurgle marines, but I didn't know how to paint them properly. Now that we have Devlan Mud

and thanks to a new painting technique (for me it was new) using the foam from the blisters, I'm happy to present you my first Nurgle Terminator.

Also it was the first time I worked with Magic Sculp/Green stuff, so don't be to harsh.

The base isn't finished yet.

Feel free to comment.

@hidje: no those are not bullets, just rocks ...

@Saevus Secutor: I try to explain the foam-technique. It's just as simple as drybrushing and it's nearly the same. just put some paint on the foam and press it on some paper to get rid off the most of the paint. After that you just press the foam on the mini. That's all. Maybe those pics on my homepage can make it clear:

And here is my second terminator.

Again: Base isn't finished yet. I'm still waiting for my static grass.

They look very sick, perfect for nurgle. Any chance for a terminator without a helmet (be interested to see how you would model and paint a face).

edit - just thought of something that would look very nurglish. A popped blister with water effect to show the puss oozing out. Represent someone shooting at the terminator and a blister being shot lolz.

@all: Thx a lot.

@Messanger of Death: I have to admit that I don't understand what you mean in your "edit". Could you please describe it in another way (Sorry).

Here's just a teaser, what I'm working on in the moment:

Those pink things are like blisters (a bubble on the skin full of puss). My thought was using the Games Workshop water effect mixed in with appropriate paint to represent the puss coming out of a blister or two. Hope you finish of your current model soon as I am curious as to how you do your skin.

Now I understand. That sounds like a good idea. In the moment I planned to make the blisters shiny with varnish but only the blisters....

They look revolting, good work!

What is the recipe for painting helmet lenses like these, say?

Mini-Tut:

1. Red Gore

2. Golden Yellow

3. Skull White

That's all.

On my homepage I've got a tut about painting lenses, but it's more for bigger lenses, like my orks have:

Although it's in German I think the picture can help:

I finished the 3rd terminator today. Take a look:

I took this pic to show you how the terminator looks from the front

The base is still WIP.

And last but not least all of them.
