tahrikmili
The Sergeant is awaiting an arm transplant (replacing his Chainsword with a Power Fist). I'll post photos of him in this thread as well as soon as he's finished :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/166978-blood-angels-tacticals/ Share on other sites
Rob_Loken
Very nice BA's there. Good solid red too. What undercoat do you use? The only thing I would say is to try and bring out the highlights a bit more, add in yellow to blazing orange to really make them pop. But they are good looking marines. tahrikmili
White undercoat, three coats of 2:1 watered down Blood Red followed by a coat of 3:1 watered down Red Ink. Then I blackline with black ink. I'm considering trying the dipping technique instead of the coat of Red Ink though. I highlight with Blood Red only. Highlighting with oranges was never something I got lucky with. The minis ended up looking too orange for my tastes, so I decided to forego highlighting beyond Blood Red. Maybe I should try again some day. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/166978-blood-angels-tacticals/#findComment-1968499 Share on other sites
Obliterator
Simple, but effective. They look great, can't wait to see you entire force :P I highlight with Blood Red only. Maybe I should try again some day. Have you tried mixing in a bit of Dwarf Flesh with the Blood Red? And no, I haven't tried Dwarf Flesh but I have it and I'm going to test it this week on the new batch of marines I'm working on. If it works well I'll go back and do it to the old ones as well and post new pics :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/166978-blood-angels-tacticals/#findComment-1968574 Share on other sites
Nobu
Hello, I like the look of your marines :) I think you can also try with Elf Flesh + Red Blood, I use it to highlight red clothes :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/166978-blood-angels-tacticals/#findComment-1968799 Share on other sites
