Grey Knights

I converted the Grandmaster from a standard Grey Knight terminator. A lot of sculpting and a bit of scratchbuilding went into him. The retinue is unconverted. I painted them bronze because I had never seen them this color before and I thought it would be a nice departure from the standard GK fare of bright silver or NMM greys. I'm pleased with the outcome and I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed painting them.

Beautiful work, bro. I've always thought that the reason they are called "Grey" Knights is because they are the best defence from darkness and stand boldly between the Dark and the Light. Hence the term "Grey". So as such you could invariably paint them whatever scheme you feel is right. And I believe this bronze gives them and ancient veteren look and really makes them feel like the elite terminators that they are.

Well Done. :)

Been waiting for your bandwidth issue with photobucket to be fixed so I could see what you came up with. They look stunning, espeically the Grand Master conversion. Very simple but effective, and shows how purity seals really improve a model if used appropriately. The bronze looks almost gold which makes them look all the more better.

I immediately knew it was a Grand Master and retinue by their colour. In the Codex it says next to their entry that to represent them you can paint them another colour. And bronze would make them stand out on the battlefield as important in a sea of gun-metal

Amazing... Simply stunning and I do agree with you, I've seen NMM Grey GK's, classic GKs in Boltgun, White Angel GKs, even golden GKs and of course my-not-so-well-done Evil GKT...... But I've have never seen Bronze done that stunning in a very long time... *gives standing ovation*
