LeeHarvey
I converted the Grandmaster from a standard Grey Knight terminator. A lot of sculpting and a bit of scratchbuilding went into him. The retinue is unconverted. I painted them bronze because I had never seen them this color before and I thought it would be a nice departure from the standard GK fare of bright silver or NMM greys. I'm pleased with the outcome and I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed painting them. Basilius
Grey Knights are Grey/Silver if you want to stick to the fluff, but I can't deny the level of your skill. Qu1f
A nice change from the boring silver. Whats the recipe of the Bronze mate? Also how did you paint the sword blade mate? Looks great. KJB
Impressive, very well done Only thing I'd change is the shields look a bit plain in comparison to the well painted and detailed armour, but thats only a minor thing Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/166983-grey-knights/#findComment-1967236 Share on other sites

Grand Master Tchezzarus
Awesome! A "simple", yet really effective conversion on your GM! And for those who tell you Grey Knight are "grey, period", just tell them they are Adeptus Custodes, using GK rules! Your bronze scheme is really great! Tchezz. Peredyne
Somewhere in my lapsing brain (just turned 40) I can vaguely remember seeing the original GK termies painted in this scheme. Master Toddius
Beautiful work, bro. I've always thought that the reason they are called "Grey" Knights is because they are the best defence from darkness and stand boldly between the Dark and the Light. Hence the term "Grey". So as such you could invariably paint them whatever scheme you feel is right. And I believe this bronze gives them and ancient veteren look and really makes them feel like the elite terminators that they are. Well Done. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/166983-grey-knights/#findComment-1967621 Share on other sites
Megalodon
They look fantastic! I like the alternative color, besides to all the silver color champions; Grey Knights were in Black armor with red as an accenting color in their IA back in the day! Isiah
Yep let's give LeeHarvey a bit of space to sort his bandwidth issues out – by the sounds of it we're missing out on some good modles to look at. Messanger of Death
Been waiting for your bandwidth issue with photobucket to be fixed so I could see what you came up with. They look stunning, espeically the Grand Master conversion. Very simple but effective, and shows how purity seals really improve a model if used appropriately. The bronze looks almost gold which makes them look all the more better. Cpt_Reaper
I immediately knew it was a Grand Master and retinue by their colour. In the Codex it says next to their entry that to represent them you can paint them another colour. And bronze would make them stand out on the battlefield as important in a sea of gun-metal Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/166983-grey-knights/#findComment-2008420 Share on other sites
n00bk1ng
Amazing... Simply stunning and I do agree with you, I've seen NMM Grey GK's, classic GKs in Boltgun, White Angel GKs, even golden GKs and of course my-not-so-well-done Evil GKT...... But I've have never seen Bronze done that stunning in a very long time... *gives standing ovation* Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/166983-grey-knights/#findComment-2008700 Share on other sites
