WG Vrox
Having a little trouble with the rules regarding Fast Open Topped Vehicals. Is it my understanding that a fast vehical can move up to 12 inches, fire 1 vehical weapon and all defensive weapons. What confuses me is shooting with troops that stayed inside the vehical vs. those that disembark, They cannot fire any weapons if the fast vehical moved more than 6", however if it moved up to 12", they can disembark 2", shoot all assult weapons and then assult 6"? Second question, if a unit is within 8 inches of an open topped vehical it can embark, if the vehical didn't move before the embarking took place, it can then move normally, however if it does only move 6", the unit inside can fire all their weapons? If true, I bet my scouts in their LSS sare going to get real tired of getting in and out of the vehical during a battle. WG Vrox. Edit, wow sorry for the horrible typos Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/167151-fast-open-topped-vehicals/ Share on other sites
Grey Mage
I cant find the part where it says you can even shoot out of an opentopped vehicle, but I know you can. Errr. WG Vrox
Page 66 of BBB under fire points, Models firing from a vehicle count as moving if the vehicle moves, and may not fire at all if the vehicle moved at cruising speed that turn. For a skimmer combat speed is up to 6" The real kicker is can when a model does fire from a fire port does it count from the hull of the vehicle like it is for open topped vehicles? I would think any orc players would have this infomation down cold. WG Vrox
So I posted the same question on a local board and was told that my two statements are correct, just in case anyone else is thinking of using their scouts with a LSS.
