nurglephill
Hello all, I have a WIP blog but its getting a bit big and all the pictures of my finished models get kinda lost so I thought I would start a post here just for my finished units. Anyway: The guy on the left....he is my Favourite PM to date, I just really like the way the whole thing works as a model...which means (i fear) i shall roll lots of (Gets Hot!) ones. :) http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0850.jpg more of my Favourite guy http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0851.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0852.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0853.jpg more guys: http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0849.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0848.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0847.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0846.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0845.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0844.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0856.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0857.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0858.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0859.jpg My first tank! The idea here is that the 'goo' is a gift from pap Nurgle for a job well done, it counts as extra armour the only difference being that it is 'alive' and to keep it 'alive' you have to feed it with the dead or dying enemy. So its a performance related gift if you will: http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0864.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0863.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0862.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0861.jpg More to follow Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/167218-finished-death-guard/ Share on other sites
nurglephill
Ok then here are the finished terminators. I did 3 thick coats of the water effects on the bases with these guys and used some larger pieces of slate. I decided to add more interesting things only to the bases of special characters etc. We death guard aren't into showing off much you see. I like the way these bases worked out actually, it looks as though the wieght of them is making them sink a little into the slime that was once the plant life of the planet....before we brought our plague! ok enough waffle, pics! http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0921.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0922.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0919.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0920.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0917.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0918.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0915.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0916.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0913.jpghttp://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0914.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0911.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0912.jpg More to follow Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/167218-finished-death-guard/#findComment-1970240 Share on other sites
nurglephill
May i pressent to you all T.E.D. nurglephill
My first Dreadnought :) http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0983.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0984.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0985.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0986.jpg and a close up of his base: http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF0987.jpg something I have learnt is the water effects stuff is a bit delicate. I put just a tad too much on in one go and it hasn't dried rock hard as it should but is still hard enough to be ok. The good news though is once you have mixed a batch of the water effects up, as long as you cover it well enough it doesnt set for days and you can still use it :). in fact it gets slowly thicker so you have a bit more control over how you use it! Sweet Thats it for now although I am about an hour or two away from having another 7 PM's finished. Thanks for looking phill Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/167218-finished-death-guard/#findComment-1970245 Share on other sites

DonUlfo
THIS IS AWESOME. These miniatures are very inspirational, as I'm doing my own Nurgle army right now. Logain the Ranger
The tanks are the best. I love that on the Rhino you could see the crisp colors of the Death Guard before they betrayed under the "gift". Pacific81
Absolutely amazing. I don't know where to start with it - the great off-white colour, the extensive and utterly convincing green-stuff work, the use of RT era stuff (which I might add is blended seamlessly, I love the termi with the mk6 helm!). Awesome, these guys must look great together fielded on the tabletop! Gv0zD
OMG :) That's just SUPERB! Great work! They're so authentic. The Rhino is just terrific! How long did it take you to create this army? hidje
that rhino is probably the most interesting one I'v seen to date, Kudos for you :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/167218-finished-death-guard/#findComment-1971185 Share on other sites
ThomKovacs
Thats sick and disgusting, awesome job! nurglephill
wow, I wasn't expecting that. Thanks guys :P *blushes* As I said before I had almost finished my last batch of 7 PM's, well, now I HAVE finished them! It was very hard getting these last 7 boys done and even harder not to rush through them. OK here they are: http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF1017.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF1016.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m359/nurglephill/Finished%20Death%20Guard/DSCF1015.jpg So thats 48 PM's a couple of tanks a dread and some Termies, all of them different from each other. I think its taken about a year from making these guys to actually painting them all (although I did take two months off after building them, I was to scared to paint them) but now I have learnt how to paint them quicker I should be able to keep knocking out a new unit every few weeks....depending on the size of the unit! No more old models waiting for me to paint them....only NEW models waiting for me to build them! YES I am so happy right now :P Right, a sorcerer to paint and some kits to bash :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/167218-finished-death-guard/#findComment-1972078 Share on other sites

Hexenes
Impressive... Most impressive. My favorites are the Rhino and the Terminators. The water effects trick was truly inspired. Can't wait to see more. Isiah
I like these a lot. Very characterful with some excellent conversions. I like the IG on the Rhino – that's impressive – but really there's too much to pick out as being good. 'Ignatius
sweet models dude! ive never seen a nurgle army use the pre heresy colors. (im doing pre heresy death guard) Only critism is that i always saw the greeon the death guard to be more of a....putrid green. I use camo green for mine, but it deffinantly doesnt take away the quality the green you use (not saying mine is right, but i like it better i think) But great stuff. your use of green stuff is truely inspiring for it being your first time Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/167218-finished-death-guard/#findComment-2039837 Share on other sites
Isiah
Nice Rhino :tu:. Only critism is that i always saw the greeon the death guard to be more of a....putrid green. I use camo green for mine On the geen can I say I don't like the green base rims? *Runs for cover* They're somehow distracting from teh models themselves – which is a great shame because they're extremely creative and very well put together/painted.
