Post your standard tactical marine armed with a plasma gun!

Probably the most specific request ever. However, I'm really having a lot of trouble getting a pose that'll fit the plasma gun (note: the smaller, rifle-sized version, not the heavy cannon version) with that stock/butt bit still attached and am really trying to find pictures of it done properly. I found one once but have no idea where. I know a lot of people seem to just cut it off, but I personally think it looks really cool and am determined to keep it in tact.

Any help is greatly appretiated!

If you notice this style of arms is the only set that will work properly with the plasma gun w/stock without some fudging.

Each set of arms has different markings (and match so if you mix them up, you can still pair them correctly). Normally, you can angle a bolter downward with these arms - but you must have them pointing straight ahead for the plasma gun to fit correctly.

Thanks to everyone who's replied thus far. I actually already made a marine with the plasma gun using the "long" arms illustrated. The pose actually looked not unlike Twin .44's -- low-slung, to imply weight to the gun as the marine was raising it up to fire. However the problem was that the grip/right hand jutted out at a considerable angle when viewed down the barrel. I was just about to glue the gun on and thought, "I can do better than that," deciding to give him a well-fitting bolter instead. Hence this post. I thought I'd try and get some ideas on how to make it work better.

These pictures are really going to help when I try it again, as well as other people who might be having the same problem, I suspect. Not to mention there are some really slick paint jobs!

I didn't know this, it'll certainly save me some time putting together tactical marines!

Well, it's obvious from the poses, that all your plasma gunners are rookies. This is how a veteran holds his gun. ;)

That being said, the above are some very nice looking models...and I didn't know that there was a set of long arms that could handle the plasma gun. Many thanx for the tip.

Cheers,

Maybe I just take things too seriously, but I really dislike the pose of a marine hiding from the plasma gun... I mean, I know I'm taking it way too seriously, but he's a Marine, not a Guardsman. He knows no fear, right?

Excellent paint job.

I just hate that pose no matter what colors I see it in (and I've seen a lot of them).

Ok. I have to say that I do take the game too seriously as well. The simpsons marines, while well crafted, annoyed me.

But Honda, when I saw that pose i nearly wet myself laughing. It's the single greatest marine I've ever seen.
