thanks for watching. :P

Very clean, very realistic paintjobs (Minus the fact that they look like they're fresh out of the carwash and haven't seen battle in a while, but I digress.) I think that "Pristine" kind of cleanly look fits Ultras very well.

Nice job, two thumbs up. :)

The black and yellow stripes on the AoBr rocket launcher backpack and the Dread are great little details.

Other than that, meh, Ultras... ^^

EDIT: Didn't even see the great boltershell on the Dread. But it looks kind of out of place. You clearly have talent for freehands, why would you use ugly decals for the other symbols?

Good to see this, Ricky! As always looking great. Been a long time since I looked at all your models.

Thought of a name for that chaplain yet

You missed out. He already had a naming thread on 40kforums, so every single painted piece is named (he posted the pictures that were taken before the names were painted on). If you ask nicely, he might add you to the ever-growing list of future names.

They look great, and I myself prefer clean looking marines. But only because the majority of battle-worn marines I've seen were poorly painted, and look even worse with all the messy mud effects.

If anything, these guys just take really good care of their armor =)

WHat is your recipe for achieving the reult you have with gold?

I feel a slight urge to learn from this great example of well-painted models.... =)

simple ingredients

basecoat scorched brown

2-4 coats of shining gold depends on the size of the area

gryphonne sepia ink

highlight with burnished gold (optinal, can be skipped if you are lazy )

highlight with thinned mythril silver.

viola! ready to serve.
