I don't know if I already complimented you somewhere else on the Rhino, but the freehand is amazing (as always). You are truly a gifted painter, and you give the models the justice they deserve. Your freehand is exceedingly well done, do you pencil in before hand I take it? RickyChang Posted June 16, 2009 Author Share Posted June 16, 2009 Dear All, i really thanks for all your time on my posted pictures and your compliments, i blushed after read them. when i firstly paint the mural on the vindicator's dozer blade i started with the right side. i sketched it with pencil before hand and outline the sketch with fine line by skull white, then fill in colors little by little. when i move on to the left part of it i decided not to sketch with pencil because the effect was not significant, i can't barely see those pencil lines, so i just outline the picture with skull white by fine brush. as for the mural on top of the rhino, the idea is to split the picture into three parts and painted onto three rhinos. when they are parked together (if i capable to finished all 3 of them....some day....i hope...), the whole picture will become one again. i am currently used only 3 brushed for all my paint jobs, GW standard brush, GW fine brush and GW tank brush. as for paint i am using, i start to replace my GW paint by Vallejo(not sure about the spelling) Game color (light color like yellow, skin and white) and Vallejo Model color (other solid color), their quality is way better then GW paint except ink. am i entering any kind of painting competition? yes. about to enter a painting competition hosted by local game shop on July, as for Golden Deamon? its a dream i dreamed.......just for being a part of the event. sorry for my English since its not my native language.
