I finished the model months ago but only got around to painting him a few days ago, it was my first attempt at true-scaling ish modeling and several other things and it turned out better than I expected, not up to the standards of many of the other brilliant Primarch projects floating around but a start, hope you guys like him.

Actually the base is the thing I'm most proud of with this model, it fights so tightly that no magnet or other latching mechanism was necessary and the two part base allows me to play the model as a Chapter Master with the small base legally and use House Rules for the Primarch Corax with the larger base.

I designed the model off of Corax's limited description in the Horus Heresy novel Fulgrim but while his wings were described as black I decided to paint them in gradually lighter shades of grey with each layer of feathers with a subtly lighter shade on the tips of the outer feathers to add some depth to them. The left Lightning Claw also didn't match the right in length or design so I wound up bulking up the claws with Green Stuff and while not magnificent on close inspection I'm moderately pleased with the results, more pleased than leaving the claws mis-matched.

So there he is, hopefully whenever I attempt another Primarch it will be just as good a learning experience.

i didn't think that Corax had wings

i thought only Sanguinius had wings

In Fulgrim Corax is described as having great black feathered wings instead of a traditional Jump Pack.

In Fulgrim, he is described as having Black Wings, granted i think his wings would be more mechanical wings :)

Good Job Vash, the Model looks good, could work on the painting though. I like how it turned out :)

Thanks, as for the Wings I wanted them to be semi mechanical but not too much hense the backpack and armor plates however the description is of black feathers so I felt the wings couldn't be too mehanical. The end result worked fairly well.
