I know that I like the new dreads better, but the old ones had a different sort of character about them. I think it has to do with the face. Apparent;y the Mk1 LR's weren't designed to carry terminators. The spartan was designed to allow the crew and passengers to wear terminator armour to penetrate Horus's Ring of Death in the heresy.
