If from far away it looks like it the paint was put on thick, then it must have been put on really thick.

To be more constructive, try applying your paints in 2-3 thin layers.

 

was thinking that as well, also on the back of the dread is it the flash from the camera that made it's back look white?

well he goes something.

 

black

 

basecoat black spray

 

chaos black layer

 

red:

 

mechrite red then blood red

 

gold:

 

scorched brown thin layer then shining gold. then (mabe - can't remeber atm) thin wash of flesh wash

 

silver/metal = chainmail.

 

green = narloc then goblin green.
