The camo turned out a little bland for me, but the customer was more than happy with it. Gotta get around to doing my own one of these days.

I can do a walk through the next time I paint up something. Pretty much you start with black on the whole thing, and just shade up from a really dark red up to a bright orange, hit it with a thinned down red wash to add a little depth, and add a little white lens flare at the top corner.
what did you use to get all the ultra symbols off? and with how much ease? (would love to get this model but would hate to ruin it trying to get all the stuff off...)

Patients and a super-sharp exacto knife, followed up by tiny files. If you take it slow and a little at a time, it's not too bad, the bolter's the hardest bit to sterilize.... er, clean up, just because of how close the rivets are.
