10,000 points of Wolves and a few cases of ale!

A few weekends ago I finally found some worthy opponents who were willing to let me bring my entire company of Wolves to the table, and let me tell you this Wolf-Brothers, 10,000 points of Wolves packs a pretty serious punch...I managed to destroy 5 super-heavy vehicles and cause four Apocalyptic Explosions as a result! (3 Stompas, and 2 Baneblades). The game was epic by anyone's standards, and there are many tales of honor and bravery from this game.

My most notable units were:

A pack of 15 Blood Claws all armed with Meltabombs that deployed from a Crusader and brought down an Ork Stompa.

My Thunderhawk packed with 10 Wolf Guard Termies and 10 assault Grey Hunters who mowed down a Baneblade, a Stompa, a Squad of Thousand Sons, and a Dreadnought, and a squad of Alpha Legion in two turns.

My Runepriest Egil Stormwolf and a supporting team of 3 Grey Hunter squads who brought down the first Stompa, then held off a horde of 100+ Orks for two turns before they were ultimately overran...but they sold their lives dearly and kept the Green Tide from doing anything else the rest of the game.

What are some of your best Apocalypse moments? We're thinking of doing a 40,000 point game sometime in the next few months...if any of you are near Jackson, Wyoming...let me know, I would gladly play next to a brother Wolf anytime!

I've been playing since 1996, so over a decade. In honor of my first box of pewter Blood Claws I bought years and years ago, each of my current squads has one of the original Blood Claw models...it brings good luck and the blessing of the All Father.

I, for one, salute you

Nice army, you should post the whole thing so we can see it...

My personal favourite Apoc moment was in my, so far, only Apoc game where I had a scout unit OBEL onto the board in the first tun and took out a suprheavy while my Ancients Assault force (5 IronClads + 1 Iron Priest) came in from the side and proceeded to tear the enemy Chaos player apart...

In one Apoc game i had, maybe 60000points, my 13th Company took down 50+ necron warriers easilly, though i couldn't get to the damn lord so they kept coming back.

I'm hoping to have alot more stories as in a week and a half i will be in a massive 200000point game :woot:

I've been meaning to get some pics posted in my Gallery...I think right now all I have is a few pics of some Wolfguard Terminators and a few other random photos. I'll get around to it soon...

This makes me want to just gather as many wolf brothers together as possible in one massive apoc battle vs whatever....I personally can bring about 7k-7.5kish worth of wolves to the table, and I personally just want to see 100k worth of wolves (essentially the entire chapter) in action all at once...

Call it a pipe dream, but it's just great to imagine all of those wolves in action at once. The most wolves I've seen on the table at once are just mine, and it saddens me. Maybe one day G.A.K. and I can get a combined force down and tearing some stuff up, but it's just so hard to get more than a handful of wolves players in one state at once. I guess maybe the new dex will solve that....

Having a unit of 5 WGTDA with no storm shields shrug of two thousand points of tau shooting, two thousand points of dark eldar raider-list shooting, and then die to three units of 10 wyches, a DE lord and 10 Incubi, 8 with power weapons.... finally dying, with one more wound then needed, to the incubi. *sighs*.

Let 4k of necrons get into position to rip them to peices too.
