Tutteman
Looks good. Can't tell much on details on the firsty pic, but it still looks brill. The Plasma Cannon, now that I can say confidently is brill. One question though, are the arms going to be that far out or is that just so you don't have trouble taking them off for painting? Still, looks great and I can't wait to see it painted. I've always liked chaplains of all varieties  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/168353-chaplain-dreadnought/#findComment-1985669 Share on other sites
Amit
The plasma cannon from the new plastic IG sentinel kit looks really good. It is coming along nicely. If I am honest, I still think the Forgeworld Chaplain dread is awesome! DaPheel
Hello everyone at B&C, just started painting him, so i took a few more piccys now that his detail can be seen more clearly. ps. ditched the plasma cannon - that's going on my bjorn conversion. http://i670.photobucket.com/albums/vv64/dapheel/dread2frontclose.jpg http://i670.photobucket.com/albums/vv64/dapheel/dread2front.jpg http://i670.photobucket.com/albums/vv64/dapheel/dread2left.jpg http://i670.photobucket.com/albums/vv64/dapheel/dread2right.jpg http://i670.photobucket.com/albums/vv64/dapheel/dread2back.jpg soon (ish) to appear in H.O.H. arbogast1
It might be a bit too late to mention, this considering you've already started painting, but it seems to me that the arms are a bit too far from the body. Other than that it looks amazing. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/168353-chaplain-dreadnought/#findComment-1999552 Share on other sites
DaPheel
All of my dreads are like that - the hips and ankles are spaced too, it stands about 10mm taller then the standard sized dreadnoughts. Thankyou for the feedback though, oh beneficient cat-Emperor. cathar the great
All of my dreads are like that - If I may ask, why? It makes the whole construction look a lot weaker. I understand the need to space the arms out a bit so you can have more dynamic poses, but you just spaced them out and just put the arms on like normal. It doesn't really add anything to the build, so why do it? Just personal taste, though, if you like it that way, keep on doing it. DaPheel
Cheers for the feedback everyone, after comparison with my other dreads i think the arms are a bit too far out. I've now filed them down to about 1/2 the original size and it looks much better. Here's a pic: http://i670.photobucket.com/albums/vv64/dapheel/dread2imp.jpg And another of my dreads, for comparison: http://i670.photobucket.com/albums/vv64/dapheel/dreaddavios.jpg I must say, I'm much happier with the result - best get him painted.
