Decisions decisions... What's a wolf to do?

So, with the Space Wolf Codex supposedly on it's way later this year, is it really worth it to invest in new models that I might not be able to use?

I would so badly like to bring a termie with an Assault Cannon/Lightning Claw combo to a game, but is it worth it if it becomes illegal in the new codex?

This would be less of an issue if I wasn't saving up for festivals this summer...

Hmmm, What are you fellow wolves doing?

Are you just going for the 'safeish' options?

I have a couple of boxes of Bloodclaws, Grey Hunters, Grey Slayers, and Storm Claws that I am not opening up or putting together until the new codex comes out. As it is right now, I have 2250pts of 13th Co that I can field and play that is my current gaming army. Once the codex comes out, and if 13th Co is still available, I will begin putting together my tournament army while continuing to play my gaming army.

Safe bets right now would be tanks and only generic versions at that, not specialty.

Gah, yes, of course, how could I forget? ^_^

I'd given up with magnets, but that's because All my current termies are metal...

Damn you, damn you to hell. Now I'm gonna put my order in with Wayland games... :HQ:

A bit of both to be honest. I'm holding back on several packs (3rd squad of TDA wolf guard) but am carrying on some long term projects such as my new jump pack blood claws as the armaments are pretty basic.

I suppose its really comes down to how comfortable one is with changing weapons etc. on existing models. I'm playing it fairly safe but who knows how long we may have to wait?

Thinking about it, my TDA models are the only real worry and thats because they include the forge world conversion kits and are always quite heavily customised. Like the wooly mammoth, some of my older ones will almost certainly become extinct :)
