13thWarrior
Are Space Wolves allowed to take Scout Bikers as a Fast Attack Choice? The Errata and FAQ don't mention it but ... Thoughts? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/168579-bikers/ Share on other sites
LPetersson
They're not in our Codex, therefore no, we can't... Or BC bikers are essentially the scout bikers of other chapters. 13thWarrior
They're not in our Codex, therefore no, we can't... and that was why I pondered the question ... We are allowed to take Land Speeder Storm and Land Raider Redeemers and Crusaders. Blood Claws kind of fall into the recruit category but not as in the Scout and Infiltrate special rules. I like the Blood Claw Bikers tho ... WS3 BS3 ST4 T5(4) with a 3+ save I was liking the Cluster mines and the Locater for Drop Pods Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/168579-bikers/#findComment-1988803 Share on other sites
Grey Mage
We only get those because of the GW FAQ. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/168579-bikers/#findComment-1988813 Share on other sites
stinkenheim
the key part in being able to take the redeemer and land speedr storm is that in the FAQ it states we have access to all the variant land raiders/speeders... anyway, who need scout bikes when we have obel scouts with ridonculous amounts of death dealing weapon option  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/168579-bikers/#findComment-1989429 Share on other sites

stinkenheim
besides which the blood claws need a massive harley and leather jackets to feel more manly... our scouts have at least reached the point where they can grow body hair not just bits of bum fluff or those darn goatees which are all the rage amongst the pups and so are too busy with finding half eaten chicken legs in thier beards and armpits to worry about their masculinity Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/168579-bikers/#findComment-1989550 Share on other sites

It would be quite nice to free up at an elite slot and put in some fast attack scouts, but OBEL is our key piece of beardy scout deployment ^_^ and hence no bikers... Wamp
Hi all My question for you, my brothers, about Land Speeder Storm and WGL. Can Wolf Scout squard with Wolf Guard leader use Land Speeder Storm? Mantinel
No, as only models in Scout armour may use LSS. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/168579-bikers/#findComment-2001836 Share on other sites
Roguemarine
@ the LSS question, actually it doesn't say models in scout armor, it only mentions scouts, therefore a WGL is most certainly allowed to ride in, because for all intents and purposes he is a scout for the game. Proof please? C:SM says only Scouts may ride in the LSS. Sure enough, you can find a unit called Space Marine Scouts. Now in C:SW, we have Wolf Scouts. By definition they can ride in the LSS, as they are Scouts. However, Wolf Guard Pack Leaders have no such title, so they can't hitch a ride in the Storm. Roguemarine
The WGL is considered a squad upgrade, for the same reason he can OBEL (i know it singles this out in the rule in the codex), i would say he can ride in the LSS because he is part of the unit regardless of his armor. I hope i'm not just repeating myself lol, but because the LSS says that only scouts can ride in it, a squad upgrade to a scout unit even if he is in power armor should still be allowed to ride in it, because the LSS makes no mention of what armor type can or can't ride in it, just that the unit inside must be scouts. Sorry, but your wrong. A WGPL is a Wolf Gaurd... says so on the left hand side of his profile. A Wolf Scout is a Scout, says so on the left hand side of their profile. Hes part of the squad for all intents and purposes, and hes an elites choice because hes attached to one, but he does not become a scout. As much as I wish it were so, but our serf-crewed land speeder storms are only capable of hauling actual wolf scouts around. Roguemarine
believe it or not but this is the first discussion against SW being able to do this, the group i play with has said it is allowed, maybe thats why i'm arguing so irrationally, apologies. The only reasons a WGPL is allowed to OBEL is because it is specifically refered to in the codex. Unfortunately this cannot be said for putting him in a speeder. A wolf can dream though... Hey, if your friends will let you do it then frankly theres nothing stopping you. Just dont be suprised if you got to a tourni and they wont let you, or if a new person in the group seems confused. After all, you can do whatever you want in your own game, right? Darn Right. Roguemarine
Actually i'm used to the tourney setting with wolves...i have to bring 3/4 lists to see what that tournament organizer says i can use. Logain the Ranger
I'd actually like to see a list running 3 Squads of scouts. One with OBEL and the other two in storms, it'd be interesting. Ra1stl1n
Well with three squads of scouts you wont have any wolf guard or non HQ dread so i dont think they'd be so viable as lets say 2 squads...
