AekoldHelbrass
I've thought about it all the day but still can't understand talk between Dorn and Malcador: "... Horus has three of his brother legions with him, you have your Fists and thirteen others." "Would that it were fifteen." mused Dorn "Do not even think it, my friend. ... They are lost to us forever". Ok, let's assume they're counting total 18 legions. By the time Dorn knew about Horus betreyal Horus had Sons of Horus, Death Guard, World Eaters, Emperor's Children. How did Melcador count 3 legions of Horus? Two others that are lost forever - is it 19 20 or Salamanders and Raven Guard massacred on Istvaan? Grand Master Tyrak
The "three Brother Legions" refers to the other Legions that have sided with Horus. Malcador is not counting the Sons of Horus since they are already under Horus' control. So, it's Sons of Horus + 3 other Legions - as you said, the DG, WE, and ECs. The two others that are lost forever is a cryptic reference to the two missing Legions. Logain the Ranger
At this point the battle where the Raven Guard, Salamanders, and Iron Hands hadn't happened yet. drazz
But, it IS an interesting note to say that the 2 missing legions had been around long enough for them for the Primarchs and indeed the whole of the Imperium to know of them. Sounds, at least in this instance, like the missing legions were a pretty recent event at the time of Horus' turning. INKS
I know this is old but, I always thought the 2 missing had to do with betrayal and the hersey seems it happened before.
