I'm quite happy about the result, but what do my brothers think of them? Cedric Posted May 21, 2009 Share Posted May 21, 2009 The armour could use some highlightning, it looks a bit plain at the moment. Just a lighter shade of blue at the edges will do for the marines. Whatever grey you have highlighted the chainswords with will fix the chaplain. Also, the air intake on the regular jumppacks could use some metal paint and a black wash for shading, like you have done with the chaplain. Otherwise, neat paintjob! The armour has been highlighted, but it seems to be very hard or even impossible to see on the pictures :) I'll try to get some better pictures up tomorrow... They probably look better in real life than your picture suggests, because of a few shadows in the wrong place. I look forward to seeing your next lot of pictures. Cedric Posted May 21, 2009 Share Posted May 21, 2009 Much better pictures, and nice hightlights, now that more of them are visible. ;) As for critique, the only thing I can think of is that you could try painting the lenses on the helmets in coloured gradients, like you have on the gem holding the scroll on one of the jumppacks (or is that a result of a camera flash?). Well, they kinda act like the personal bodyguard of the chaplain, that's why they've got those shoulder pads, but gamewise they are a normal assault squad. The squad leader is the marine with the helmet and shoulder pad with an eagle on it. I'm not that fond of the red helmets so I don't use them :rolleyes: Thanks for the replies so far!
