Hi

Long time GK/DH player (5 years) and just won my second game and I believe I have accidently fell upon your water way...and your post has made a lot of things clearer for me - loved the wiggin examples I know what you mean.

My only two wins have been one againts 200pts nids and other against 2000pts tank company. I only seem to get the edge afetr 2000pts.

My tactis in two wins PAGK/IST as troops with homers and deep stricking GM HQ + retinue incins and Termie elites incin and FA PAGK with incin deep strike them down behind enemy lines and tacking them from the rear, using homers when necessary I use dreads and troops as decoys to lure them across the board to myside as I retreat backwards shooting with troop heavy choices. First time tactics delveloved by accident, but now I can see this thanks to your post and I think back to the games involved.

My next prob is I'm facing 2000 pts iof new 5th ed orcs with lots of meks and killer kans in a weeks time and am at a loss how to counter this force any ideas? I do have two LR/LC opposable - now but still not had the time to finish them off yet.

Any ideas as to composition I should use - I have 28 PAGK 8 justicars 8 psy PAGK and 8 PAGK incin, 8 termies in total, 24 IST 4 each flavour hvy weapons GRN Plas Melta Flamer 2 dreads and 2 LR/LC oposable.

Any ideas guys

Questions about specific armies or opponents should probably be in their own threads, with references back here if you like. This thread is pretty much just pure theory discussion. That being said, the really quick answer is to load up on as much S6+ ranged weapons as you can to deal with the Kans, and lots of storm bolters for his infantry. If you want any more advice than that, I'm sure we'd all be happy to contribute in a dedicated thread.
