Iron-Daemon Forge Posted May 30, 2009 Share Posted May 30, 2009 Hi everone I've recent set myself a project to make a mini diorama/duly as to be honsty never done one before. Also being a big fan of the Iron Warriors (in case any you lot not notice :( ) I've chosen to base my mini duly on Dead Sky Black Sun, book by my friend Graham McNeill (my Finial year college model base on Storm of Iron kicking about in the finish area or you can find the long by Graham McNeill web site). I also need to find the right axe to be Warsmith Honsou Daemonic Blade that he pick up after killing a Black Legion Lord. The chainsword for Honsou is merely to get a rough idea on how I wanted this model to look. In no way will the arm be like that, it ment to be when I build his Daemonic Axe with Bionic arm, going to be a bit more of a swing hit into Uriel (as why Uriel weapon rise a bit to try & block this in coming attack) Uriel, like wise though he 85% done, he still got a lot work to do. Base, there going to be a lot work, but right now the focuse is to get both Warsmith Honsou & Uriel to a standard/built that I like. Then start adding to the base. Yeah it been point out about the Power Weapon by my friend Graham McNeill ;) My bad. Got it sorted, just needed to look through my bit box & chainsword just get a rough idea of how it all look. Forgot to add this in. So op to just go back & use normal Chaos Marine legs. I'm just waiting on the Green stuff to dry a little bit. Need some finial detail to add on before I can finial undercaot the model & to give Uriel his power weapon <_< Aim to paint the model on Mon or Tue depend how real life stuff gose. Just it lot a look cooler than the Terminator captain power weapon, with the writen/letter in the middle. Also would just look like somthing his former captain would give him. Just has that right feel, when you do a conversion & looking for parts, you know these part just look cool & right for the job, etc... It the way I do my normal IW Bolt Gun metal Brown Ink (no longer being sold by GW) Cheatnut ink (no longer being sold by GW) Re-dry brush with Bolt gun metal Highlight with Mithrel silver, but I tend to have it going up the side like ////// As the armour place on the legs show. But for this, before doing the mithrel silver, I use some Black Wash lightly put on. Then the gold is Dwarf Bronz with brown ink. Also while dry brush bolt gun metal I use the GW tank brush, cover more area & dose not look pathy if you where to use other brush. IP Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Though trying to paint the eyes on Uriel getting to be a bit of a pain. But it'll get there in the end. Hope to get this finish by the end of the week & also get a nice little base with the famous quote I dread to think what heinous crime an Ultramarine must commit to be banished to the Eye of Terror. Sadly to say no Hazard stripe, don't do them on my own IW ether. Just not a fan of bright colours to be honsty & just never been a fan of them on IW in general. I still need to try & get the eyes right, this has been the only project where it been a bit of a struggle to get the eyes painted just right. Maybe give them a try tonight.
