Kairos, Fateweaver

Here are some completed pics for my Fateweaver conversion. It took me way longer than expected but I’m very pleased with the results.

Are Daemons allowed on this power armour website?

;) We just prefer the term, Iron Hide, it’s a gift really.

Thanks for the assist Heru.

I need to start watching your Blog again. :P

Shouldn’t everyone? The more to keep in inline the better.

Thanks for the comments all, here are some other thoughts I got on this model:

The brass rod: Has been noted as distracting. I’ve gotten advice like get rid of it and anchor the model with one of its feet, replace it with a clear one or just paint it black so it doesn’t draw so much attention to itself. Any other thoughts there?

The Ultra backpack: Most all my deamons have Ultra victims (or hacked up bits thereof). In this case, the blue is too close to the blue on the robes. I either need to replace it with a sgt’s helmet (red w/white stripe) or put a big white “U” on it or something.

Opinions? Reactions? Responses? Etc’s?

Cheers, -OMG

Make it silver maybe? A clear plastic one would have trouble holding that bulk.

A specialist (Chaplain, Techmarine, Apothecary) perhaps?

p.s. it's nice to see another Luna Wolf around here :P

Lupercal! Right back atcha; Team Mournival, Adepticon Team Tourney, 2009.

@Heru: I passed on a clear dowel for that very reason. Another suggestion was to use a curved metal bracket; custom built titanium to be exact. Whereas that would look really classy I’m tending to shy away from that option. I’ll try paint first and failing that look toward other ways to elevate the model.

As per the backpack, any of those options would due. I’ll put the big “U” on the back and if it still looks too blue I’ll pop it off and try something else.

Thanks for the comments. -OMG

thanks but i still dont get it my image is not on a website its in my files on my computer

Check your PM's and we'll get this worked out for you.

Rather than a backpack, or helmet, have a smouldering corpse, or pile of dust.

My original concept was to have an Ultra levitating off the ground being twisted into a corkscrew by the irresistible chaotic forces of change. The same guy losing his pack & bolter on his way to oblivion. After converting the marine and fitting it in place, it made the overall model look to busy and far too blue so I dropped it altogether.

Pile of dust you say? Smoldering ash maybe? Hummmm... maybe that could fit w/o too much of an alteration. I'll think about that.
