sword brethren
from what i can see it looks great, i suggest that if you can increase the detail imn your camera as mine used to look like that before i changed the detail thing. Terrible_Trygon
Just use the macro setting. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/170048-my-winged-chappy/#findComment-2008558 Share on other sites
Muller
It's not a "detail" thing... it's about how the lighting is around you, thus getting a more stable, and blurry picture. Macro settings on a normal compact digital camera will most likely (in almost all lighting conditions) engage the flash, which, on that model will be a disaster since it's so white. Either use a small tripod (the crew-on ones you can get for such cameras) or get better lighting in the room. Terrible_Trygon
Macro increases the what now? Macro mode is about keeping sharp focus when taking pictures of something that is so close that it would blur when taking the picture regularly. Unless the sites I looked up when buying my current digital camera are wrong, it has little to do with the flash, besides the flash being disabled on some cameras when in Macro mode. Right now the guy just needs better focus, which is supplied by Macro mode, so he should turn it on and try taking the picture again. Muller
Macro mode is an "auto" mode on most camers, pretty much all of them in fact, and the built-in camera lighting-sensor can't pick up even the brighter lightings in a room that good, hence it tells the camera to use the flash... very often at least... Better focus is accuired thorugh good lighting and a steady hand for best results. Terrible_Trygon
On my camera I have a flip up flash so I tend to not notice this as I opt out of using it. Also I have Super Macro, on top of normal Macro, which doesn't have flash. Well most compacts don't have this :P I shoot my models with a system camera (Canon EOS 20D) so I don't have these problems at all :o Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/170048-my-winged-chappy/#findComment-2008780 Share on other sites
