blindcider
I am planning to convert some space marine bikes to represent biker sisters, using the spare immolator SoB torsos from the exorcist models! Has anyone else done this? search on internet for images/similar has not proved fruitful! I realise this is not 'fluffy' but I think squads of sisters zooming across the battlefield would be awesome. I will add photo's when I have finished some Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/170124-wh-biker-sisters/ Share on other sites
Hellbreaker
you could always use them as very large seraphims... Well sounds awesome if you ask me, be sure to put plenty of blingy stuff on them. Bring the bling, I'll take her for a swing! Anyway... Waiting for piccies! Corpse.
Tink it was mentioned before DH/WH are specialists in their field. Bikes dont fit in cityfight warfare. Where SoB mostly fight... Sister Rosette Soulknyt
Its a unique idea. I have in conversion a Inquistor (hellsing version) on a cyber horse from a Warhammer Character inplace of a bike but with the same rules. They do in the 41st millenia, as scouts and fast recon units. B). Empty Bolter Clip
I also think it would be a nifty idea! Although I would lean more toward using the scout bikes instead of the SM ones simply for the smaller size/weight. (fluff wise) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/170124-wh-biker-sisters/#findComment-2010296 Share on other sites
blindcider
EBC - I would concur with you about the suitability of the scouts bikes, however I love the normal SM bike model As for using them in battles, the guys I play with wouldn't complain about Sisters on bikes (until they killed some of their units) I have no real love for creating stuff like Baneblade's or land speeders for my witch hunters force. I feel that Imperial guard allies can be 'fluffed in' with a decent storyline. jeffersonian000
"Renegade Nuns on Wheels" has always been a favority of mine (see the game "Macho Women with Guns"). That and "Bat-winged Bimbos from Hell" (another supplement for MWwG). I say go for it. Sisters on bikes would fill roughly the same role as Seraphim, only with T3(4) and a lower vulnerability to TLoS. ArmouredWing
I have been advocating biker sisters for ages.Yep, pick a ticket and get in the queue folks as the idea has been bounced around a fair few times over the years. Personally I think biker sisters are a great idea if somewhat limited in their scope. As much as some people see them as such sisters are not weak marines in any respect and giving them bikes would just reinforce that perspective. The other problem is that there are few sister sculpts (if any) that could lend themselves to being mounted on a bike. Theres some major green stuff work involved and some serious carving, it's a fair challenge but if you pull it of it's be great to see. Toogeloo
The sheer volume of new units in the last 2 5th edition Codecii have led me to believe we will see lots more than just what the current Sisters offer when we get our new Codex. It's already assumed we are going to get about 4 or 5 Characters, but I am also betting on some of the following changes: Celestian Squads will be like Vanguard Veterans only as an Elite Choice. I would assume you will be able to upgrade the hell out of the whole squad with Power Weapons and Shields or Bolters with Sarrissas or something. Dominions will get access to Drop Pods with Drop Pod Assault, standard Vehicle choices of Rhinos and Immolators, or the entire Squad can be given bikes for like 25 points a model. ZOMG... Retributors get up to 4 Heavy Flamers! (I would love to see this) New Vehicles... fo' sure. So if you want chicks on Bikes, I wouldn't discount the new dex giving them to us in the form of Dominion option or new Fast Attack choice. The new codecii have introduced new things each time that saw game play almost immediately (Drop Pods, Sternguard, Valkyries, Master of Ordnance...) so be sure that we aren't gonna have only the same stuff we currently have with new rules when our new codex is released, we will have tons of new toys and brand new models to play with. Grand Master Caloth
A decent idea, although think of this... An even nastier idea. Grey Knight bikers. If SoB were to get them, you can bet GK would. S6 T5..... is a beautiful thing! and seeing the two of them in the same force, oh Emperor would the Enemy be screwed! Besides... Sisters could use the toughness boost. Eddie Orlock
I've been more a fan of Arbite pursuit teams myself as a way of getting bikers into the inquisition lists, but I fear that my Arbites will finally go the way of the Rapier Destroyer in the next update along with the last traces of 'Allied Forces'. I'd vainly hoped for bikes in the recent guard 'dex, but it was not to be. In an effort to maintain 'Army Uniqueness' amongst Imperial Forces, the guard are forever saddled with roughriders in much the same fashion that Grey Knights are too good for rhinos.
