Hey, if I take Terminator Armors can I have CC weapons in addition to Cyclones?(saw someone else doing it) Also, does the Wolf Lord count towards the number of models in a bodyguards unit that determines the amount of heavy weapons you are allowed?

1) Yes (According to the FAQ)

2) No, but if you take a WGBL instead, he can take a TDA Heavy Weapon...

The Wolf Lord and WGBL are not included in the three models rounding up. However the WGBL *Not the WL* can take a heavy weapon by himself.

You can have ONE weapon in addition to the cyclone missile launcher. After that you get into debate and house rules.

HOLY CRAP KID READ YOUR FAQ READ THE STUFF THAT'S ALREADY BEEN POSTED UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now lunch, be nice to the new pup, he's probably disorientated and slightly concerned by the sheer amount of large ale guzzling marines that the fang currently holds.

Okay, so just to clear things up, a CML termie can use one or a pair of lightning claws, since they can be purchased as one item? Also, how would it work with a TH?SS combo since the SS is on the weapons list, but is a defensive tool?

Nope... youll note, right next to the Lightning claw x 2 entry, it says it counts as two choices sadly. TH+SS is in the same boat....

The reasoning behind the potential to get two weapons is this: If you have a CML you can have a Stormbolter if youd like, wich is 2 2handed weapons. However this statement doesnt remove the requirement that you only have two weapons in the armory... and so youd only have a CML and + SB.

Others argue that because a codex marine can have a powerfist, stormbolter, and CML that we should too. While I can agree up to a point that that would be fair, and cool, its not how it works RAW. We have the ability to make the best, toughest, most adaptable terminators in the game by guzzling monstrous amounts of points into small squads.... and the drawback is that they can only ever have two weapons- and that a stormshield counts as one of those weapons. A little silly? Maybe. A balancing factor? Certainly.

Seriously, just avoid the noob threads for a bit and cool off man. Id rather have him ask questions and get it right, with good solid backing for when the people at his club ask him, then running around half cocked with twin linked assault cannons on the shoulders of his wolf priest.

Exactly, much better to have one of our ranks playing the game properly than being done for cheating. However I would suggest to all new wolves to read the FAQ as it is a great help and answers many questions. If after reading that, the official GW FAQ and other threads then I suggest you post your questions here.
The hot blood, quick temper of a bloodclaw is in all of us, I understand your frustrations lunchb0x but Wolf Brother Grey Mage makes a valid statement. But people will continue to over look the FAQ's and the search function, here at the Fang and more so in the following months with new whelps on the way of the bandwagon

Yeah, remember that time, around a month or so ago, when I was freaking out over the price increase... because it was astronomical and had come almost a month early and I had some friends in on an order....

And I was just an idiot looking at the canadian website.

Ive been posting here five years, and still did that. Ack.

Oh yes Grey Mage, I do ;) Proves that even the older and wiser of us can get things horribly and embarassingly wrong.

@ lunchb0x - whilst reading the FAQ is always a good thing, clarification on why something is, or isn't the same as the Codex chapters is a valid question, especially considering that for nearly 5 years now, we've been the only ones stick with the hand targeter, even though it isn't a model anymore (well, ok it's Direct Sales, but for £10 a model? I'd rather buy the plastic box and the FW set, and save £10 to boot...) So even if we have answered the question, some people don't understand the answer, hence the questions.

And yes, if/when our new dex hits... we're going to be flooded. Hope you're quick learners!

All, remember, many of us are old, crusty veterans of the codex (its been around long enough). We tend to think everyone knows what we know, but for new people this is not the case. They may have some of the most simple, obvious questions in our minds. And even for us old vets things in the codex are not clear.

So, PLEASE treat everyone with the same respect you would want for yourself. It's hard asking for help, especially when there are sarcastic, unhelpful and nasty replies.

Also remember, if you do not like a thread or post, you do not have to answer it. No one is making you post answers. In fact, if they are not helpful then please do not post at all.
