lets see some furioso's!

Recommended Posts

Realise this is quite late in the day, seeing as I only joined today - but I thought I'd throw mine in for comment.

...

Already mentioned this in your welcome thread, but your furio is amazing. Also wanted to point out that your venerable is the first one I've seen that I actually like. Normally I think the Ven take too much away from the cold hard mech feel of a dread, but yours accomplishes ven status and STILL looks totally dreadnough-tacular.

Once again, thanks for sharing!

Thanks! Generally most armies have some form of centrepiece model that usually isn't a character, and I've always felt that DC Dreads are our version of that because they are so different from the rank-and-file Dreads. Hence, I wanted him to stick out a lot more than normal and I think I've happily achieved that (God knows he's even more of a fire magnet than he would have been otherwise!! ;) ). Took about 3 months of planning, saving and scouring eBay for parts (like the OOP FW BA base) and about 3 weeks to build and I really want to do a 2nd VDCD... the problem is replicating the standard of this model but ensuring it's also unique enough to be different. With the GW and FW range I haven't yet found enough parts to centre on a design that I'm happy with, but if I ever get around to doing another I'll post completed pics.

Here we are. These two were converted from AOBR dreads. I had a bunch of furioso arms left over from a bits bag i bought on games day:

Angelus Mortifier - eagerly looking forward to a second VDC Furio from you.

;) Yoinks! Not sure when I will have that particular request done but it will happen at some point. In the meantime, I have a painting competition at my local club (bog-standard IG model - and I'm doing Death Korp of Krieg... who incidentally will be my BA allies), with final entries due next Thur; following that, can I tempt you with Corbulo and what I hope will be a pretty good Attack Bike conversion? ;)

There is the first of my DC Dreds the Second one is still in its starting stages and needs me to bust out the Pinning to the extreme *also means I need to buy a new drill bit since thats one of the pins in that one* BUT the next one will have a Cowering IG about to be stomped stupid Metal dreds and their weight.

I may do the same for the Talons or I may Scratch build a couple of sets and replace these But not too sure ATM.

A heavily converted running furioso Dreadnought all plastic of which i am rather Chuffed

Heavily Converted? Excuse my ignorance but am i missing something other that some repositioning of feet and to a lesser extent legs with a few bits added to the body?

I'd say that the quad Chain saw dread is more converted and while beautiful isn't 'heavily converted' in my eyes.

Regards

Crynn
