My GK project

Recommended Posts

Hey guys. I just wanted to post some pics of the GK's I'm currently working on and see what you guys think. I just recently got into the GK thing as I picked up a terminator to paint and thought that the model was so awesome that I wanted a whole army of them! Well, here's the pics:

This is a picture of the justicar I did as a test model. I have since cleaned him up in a few spots, but I don't have a picture at the moment other than this:

Here's the first 5 I completed:

Here's the first squad, maxed out with a justicar, 2 psycannons and 8 PAGK's.

Here's a picture of everything I've bought and assembled so far. I have a GM/BC (stern) w/ psycanon and 4 termies, 1 with psycannon. 3 PAGK squads, 2 with psycannons and 1 with incinerators. 2 GH and one crusader that's magnetized so I can swap it out to be another GH. 2 Dreads with Forgeworld bodies.

So, let me know what you guys think! I'll be trying to update these guys as fast as possible, but I just moved and it might take a few minutes to get set up.

The dread bodies are the GK bodies. I was thinking of changing up the colors slightly between squads. Maybe chance the shoulder pad colors and/or loincloth on the justicar. I just got done moving so I'm pulling my stuff out as of now.

I had also found that Krylon grey primer is just in between adeptus battle gray and codex grey so I went over all of my un painted models with that. It should make painting all of my vehicles much easier now. I've just started to dig into the second psycannon squad and hopefully I'll find the time to get those done by next week.

I am really likeing these, ive been thinking for a while now that my metalic work isnt up to scratch and that grey knights deserve better then my shoddy painting, and this has really made me think that avoiding metalics might be the way forward. I can see a respray coming for all my grey knights.
