Axyl
Hello B&C, First of all let me start by saying hello. There isn't an official introduction section that I was able to find so I figured I'd just jump straight into the action over here and showcase some of my stuff. Anyway, I've collected a couple other armies and decided it was time to join up with the marines. After browsing through the dex and a few online sources I figured I would give the Imperial Fists chapter a go. Well, since I've started this army I have learned much about painting. This army has turned me from a mediocre painter to a good painter and hopefully on my way to a great painter. Anyway, that being said what I have here could definitely still use some work I'm sure and I am always open to more criticism and improvement techniques for my painting. Just as a disclaimer, these pictures have been taken with a webcam and as such...quality may be diminished a bit. In addition I'm still working on my picture taking techniques so any help in that department would be helpful as well. Finally...seeing as I am a newbie here, if I am in any sort of rules obstruction as far as posting pictures goes please notify me and I will make the necessary changes immediately. Well, without further delay....here is a portion of my painted army thus far. To start...a Hellfire dread. Main body is the from the AOBR dread. http://i522.photobucket.com/albums/w341/blind39/Dread1F.jpg http://i522.photobucket.com/albums/w341/blind39/Dread1S.jpg http://i522.photobucket.com/albums/w341/blind39/Dread1B.jpg Next is a converted Ironclad dread. Body also from the AOBR dread. Seismic hammer is a lego and K'nex piece with some green stuff filler. http://i522.photobucket.com/albums/w341/blind39/Picture17.jpg http://i522.photobucket.com/albums/w341/blind39/Picture18.jpg And finally, some Black reach termies http://i522.photobucket.com/albums/w341/blind39/Picture15.jpg http://i522.photobucket.com/albums/w341/blind39/TerminatorsB.jpg http://i522.photobucket.com/albums/w341/blind39/T_Captain.jpg I do realize that some of those pics have some bad lighting (termie pick #1 for example). I'll come back and replace those later. There is more I have painted as well, but I'll post those later this week. Well I'll throw this out to you all and just tell me what you think and where I can improve.

Slyfox1990
Nice painting and models, although I m not a fan of the hammer on the dreadnought. Thats just a personal thing though.
Brother 'Ussell
Not too bad! If I could make a couple of suggestions -water down your inks a bit when you apply it, mabe do a couple of passes with it if need be letting it dry inbetween. -Brill out those gun barrels! just a couple of millimetres even makes a big difference, mark the center with a needle or thumbtack and then use a small drill bit. Axyl
Thanks for the comments everyone. Yea, I've gotten a few comments that the hammer on the Ironclad is a bit of an eyesore. I'm not a great converter and tried to paint it up best I could. At the very least it gets the point across. Anyway a few more pics: Tactical squad 1 http://i522.photobucket.com/albums/w341/blind39/Picture22.jpg http://i522.photobucket.com/albums/w341/blind39/Picture23.jpg Part of tactical squad 2 http://i522.photobucket.com/albums/w341/blind39/Picture24.jpg Rhino http://i522.photobucket.com/albums/w341/blind39/Picture19.jpg http://i522.photobucket.com/albums/w341/blind39/Picture20.jpg More to come later. logemaru
I Really like the weathering and shading on your rhino man, great job. I really like the little details on your marines, like the black greaves/knee pads. You might find your marines would 'pop' a bit more if you add a bit of depth to the reds on the bolters and chest eagles. Maybe a wash of watered down black or devlan mud, aka magic paint. Other than that great start, lets see more!
