What units or combos work best?

My lists usualy include:

 

Pair of Canonesses (flying kind) (IPs included)

 

Pair of Rhinos with SoB squads. (VSS. HF+F, Book, maybe an Evicerator)

 

Pair of Exorchists.

 

Seraphims to go with Canonesses. (IPs and Evicerators)

 

Retributors or =I= dakka retinue.

 

And most recently: Zealots.

 

Obiviously these don't fit all into every list.

While I agree with you in theory, I would like to explain my reluctance to fully support the trinity style of play.

 

I am not a big fan of tournaments, I do well but my experience has always been soured by the hyper competitive jerk that bully a win by taking the loosest interpretation of what they are allowed and the strictest with what you are allowed.

Coupled with a win at all cost style of play and min/maxed list only serves to intensify this general lack of social graces.

This perception of tournaments is my own... and is based solely on specific players that i have faced at those tournaments.

 

Well after all that, the last tournament I went to I had a really good time, and i did fairly well too.

I tied for 3rd place with the following highly unconventional list.

 

=I= Lord with 3 HB servitors,

3 x 7 IST w/ shot guns

1 priest w/ evisorator & Braizer

2 units of Arco

2 Penitent Engines

1 Orbital Strike - Lance

 

1000 pts

 

Every game had great moments where everyone was laughing (or crying) about what my units were up to.

 

The point of all of this is that there is much more to the WH codex than just Battle Sister Squads, Seraphim Squads and Exorcists.

 

Now as to the OP... in a WH force that is predominantly Mech Sisters, Arcos should probably not be taken unless you are expanding your 1850 list to about 2250 or 2500.

Otherwise you risk not having enough of your core force.

 

With my list above... the Arco's and the PE were the core force.
