wolfhag
In the new Codex it lists Marines as having a Pistol. It does not list them as having a Close Combat weapon like a knife or Combat Blade. Does this mean if a Marine Tac Squad decides to Assault they can fire their Pistol (Assault 1) and then charge? While in Close Combat do they get an additional attack for having the Pistol? Are they assumed to have a knife? The SM Sergeant comes with a Pistol and Bolter. he can trade his Bolter for a Power Weapon or Chainsword. He's listed with a base of 2 attacks. If he has a Pistol and Chainsword or Power Weapon does he now get 3 attacks? Kephri
They can shoot their pistols and assault. They do not have an additional CCW, so they do not fight with 2 weapons, so they only have 1 attack. (they do gain the +1 from the charge though) If the Sgt trades his bolter for a PW/Chainsword he now has 3 attacks. (and +1 when he charges.)
