boinkage
Can a librarian who just came out of a drop pod cast force dome? It says, "cast at the beginning of the librarian's movement phase". Going off of the chaos marines FAQ, chaos sorcs cant cast gift of chaos on the turn they deep strike, because it is cast "at the beginning of the turn", and they aren't on the table then. But this is cast "at the beginning of his movement phase" which could be argued he is off table, or could be argued starts right when he disembarks from the pod. thoughts? nighthawks
hazy. drop pods also arrive at the beginning of the movement phase, as do all deepstrikes. I think the operative term here is the "librarian's" phase - which in the past has led to disagreements about it being the same as the controlling player's phase or the specific moment the player chooses to move the librarian. I always viewed the librarians' phase as that of his army. so in keeping I would vote NO, you cannot force dome when arriving by drop pod, or any means of deepstrike for that matter. Banville
I'd second that. Considering he's hurtling down from orbit (i.e. not on the table) at the start of his, or indeed his army's, movement phase means that he can't use the power. boinkage
I think I'd have to agree, that makes it alot less useful coming out of pods then. nuts. gil galed
i'd agree with no, fluff wise he doesn't have the concentration to cast force dome when hurtling down from space Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/170801-force-dome-from-a-drop-pod/#findComment-2023452 Share on other sites
Blckbuster
I can't agree with rules interpretations for fluff reasons, there are already things that make little sense in this game, but the wording of the rules are clear enough to disallow the use of the power from deep strike Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/170801-force-dome-from-a-drop-pod/#findComment-2024600 Share on other sites
