Marshal Rohr
Undercoat with a thin layer of Tallarn flesh Then layer dwarf flesh, making sure everything is covered Wash with watered down bestial brown, but avoid pooling in the crevices Line the deep portions of the flesh with a thin line of scorched brown Clean up any mistakes with dwarf flesh Then highlight with a 50/50 Dwarf and Elf flesh mix Add Skill white to the mixture until you achieve the flesh tone you want Basecoat of mithril silver Several thin layers of shining gold until an even color is reached Wash with Devlan Mud, Brown Ink, and the other inks if available Re-touch the gold areas that have been muted by the wash Add a very small amount of Mithril silver to Shining gold for the first highlight Continue this for as many highlights as you want, slowly progressing to pure Mithril Silver for the final extreme highlight Also:If you want the gold to look brighter, go over the area with a few very fine layers of watered down yellow ink. Whereas, if you want to add more depth to your gold, line in some watered down purple ink. Red Cloth You will need:Scab red Chaos black Red blood Fiery orange Undercoat with scab red, this may require several layers for even coverage Wash with 50/50 Scab red and Chaos black Line with Chaos black Highlight with mixtures of Blood red and Scab red, the exact mixture is personal preference for the tone of red desired For a brighter red, add a light highlight of Fiery Orange Cloth You will need:Dheneb stone Bronze flesh Skull white Base coat of Dheneb stone Wash with a very watered down mix of 50/50 Dheneb stone and bronzed flesh For the highlights just add skull white to Dheneb stone until you achieve the colour you want Metal You will need:Chainmail Inks Mithril silver Basecoat of Chainmail Wash with the Inks and Washes for the desired metallic coloration. The best washes are generally dark browns of black. You can either use paints and inks but both have to be watered down to be effective, this may take a few more wash layers, but the end result will be worth it. For example, if you want a 'steel' coloring as I have above, wash it with greens and blues. Highlight with Chainmail Final highlight of Mithril silver Chapter Specific Colors First, prime the model with Chaos Black and then give the model a light dusting of Skull White Primer. This step will help give the model even greater coverage. You will need:Iyanden Darksun Sunburst yellow Bestial brown Skull white Undercoat the surface you want to paint yellow with Iyanden Darksun. Water down the Iyanden Darksun and add a very small amount of Bestial brown, use this mixture to shade in your miniature. Water down Bestial brown and line in areas were you desire a shade. Using a 50/50 mix of Iyanden darksun and Sunburst yellow, highlight the area you are painting. With the Vanguard model I used this mix over all the large surface areas of the armour For the highlights Skull white was added to the mix above, this mix should be noticeably lighter. Make sure the highlighting is sharp and neat. Crimson Fists You will need:Regal blue Chaos black Skull white Warning: this is a difficult technique. Slyfox1990
dongratulations on these tutorials, they are looking really good. As said above you may want to add one or two headers but otherwise excellent work! Is there any chance that you would ever look at doing a Salamanders tutorial?
