Smadders
Hey Everyone, I recently put up a post asking advice on what to get when first joining the wolves. So - I bought a standard grey hunters box and this is the first guy, fully complete. Hopefully I can knock out a few more like him over the weekend. What do you think? Any comments/criticism would be greatly appreciated, I always find painting is my weak point. Also, how do you paint the shoulder markings? I'm finding it really hard to get the detail. Roguemarine
Well i like it because its almost the exact same scheme i use :(. And for the markings i liked the transfers just fine, but i could never free hand. Good work brother Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/170949-my-colour-scheme-and-first-wolf-2-pics/#findComment-2020018 Share on other sites

Wolf Priest Haelaeif
Very good paintjob. For the markings you can use transfers, combine several different ones, chop them up a little, or use them merely as the basis and paint over them, creating a slight variation. Bjorn the Fell-Handed
Good solid paintjob, I approve greatly. Spend time on each mini to make it look that good. As for squad markings, you could use runes of some such, not too hard to do. For symbols, I use a biro to mark out the outline of symbols. Transfers are also good. There are tutorials on how to apply in the PCA forums. Beef
At first I thought you had drybrushed the models, but then I relised you have actually layered the models, something that requires skill which you definatly have but I am not sure layering works very well with grey colour skemes as it makes the models look Chalky, Not that I know anything, 15 years collecting SW and I still dont know how to paint a decent mini Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/170949-my-colour-scheme-and-first-wolf-2-pics/#findComment-2022754 Share on other sites
