SeanDrake
Ok anyone strangely bemused that after the fuss GW made about the DA terribad secret not been explained that it apears barring any major future incidents in the HH books that the Lion was not a traitor just a frickin idiot? Anyone else read it yet have an opinion? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/171038-fallen-angels-slight-spoiler/ Share on other sites

Legatus
What, you expected GW to pull a 180 on all the Dark Angels players? :P They do have a terrible secret... During the Heresy half of the Legion turned. During the Heresy half of the Legion turned. Actually at the moment from the end of fallen angels MAJOR*MAJOR SPOLIER DO NOT READ IF YOUR INTRESTED IN REDIN BOOK Lion has just accidently given the traitor legions the equipment they need to break terra sooo all it will take is for someone to find out and then you have two loyalist halves of a legion fighting 1 side because they think the other side has turned the other so that noone finds out the siege of terra was all there primachs fault. Gaz1858
Ok ive just finished the book. As a whole i thought it a very good read and im looking forward to the next one. Whats doe Zahariel know??????? The only qualms i have is with the portrayal of Jonson. yes every Dark Angel fan will feel the same, however, Jonson is meant to be a master tactician second only(some say) to Horus himself. Also he was meant to be jealous of Horus promotion above him, believing himself to be a better person for therole. I dont think either of these qualities were portrayed at all in the book. He is portrayed as a noble warrior doing what he sees as the just course of action. In terms of his tactics.....he had one well planned naval attack. The rest was all luck or of little to no effort on Jonsons part. Nemiel was probably more instumental in the defence. I would say he was a mediocre character, let alone Primarch. I believe better of the legion themselves though. Good humoured, cunning, and not as monastic(at this point) as they are portrayed today. Everyone else . Fire away...... SeanDrake
Well I did enjoy it but even as someone who is not a DA fan i'm starting to get the feeling they should have left this particular bit of fluff alone the guesses ppl have been making over the years about what happened etc where what made the DA slightly more intresting then some of the other sm chapters.
